Early California Spanish Colonial Revival
Set quietly above the famed Pebble Beach shoreline this early Mediterranean traces its origins back to the early architectural emergence of Pebble Beach in the 1930s — a period defined by European-inspired estates, timeless craftsmanship, and understated coastal elegance. What began as a historic Mediterranean residence evolved into something far more refined: a warm and sophisticated revival inspired by the enduring character of the French countryside and the grand estates of Provence. In collaboration with renowned architect Jun A. Sillano of International Design Group, the home was carefully reimagined as a Provencal coastal estate — balancing old-world romance with elevated contemporary living. The transformation centered around authenticity and restraint rather than excess. Hand- finished textures, limestone influences, soft architectural symmetry, custom millwork, aged materials, and elegant proportions created a residence that feels both worldly and deeply rooted in the landscape of Pebble Beach itself. Every element was approached with the intention of preserving architectural soul while refining the residence to modern luxury standards. The result is a timeless coastal home that evokes the quiet sophistication of Southern France — understated, enduring, and richly detailed without ever feeling overstated. Under my direction as the builder, the project became a study in craftsmanship and architectural stewardship, where heritage, artistry, and construction discipline converged to breathe new life into one of Pebble Beach’s distinguished residences.
